Under Refrigeration

1.14.2011
It's a week before our little vacation that Santa brought us.
It's by far the coldest week we've had yet. Buurrrrrrr
It's the week classes are back in full swing and Ted's unusually busy.
It's the SLOWEST crawling week.

BUT, I can almost feel the sun rays beam and smell coconut sunscreen.
mmmM, so close to enjoying yummy Mojungo. We are so ready for our beachside resort. The anticipation is quicky becoming quite my obsession. We couldn't have picked a better week, because I feel like I'd cave if it weren't for the glimmer of destination hope. Can you tell I'm more than ready to leave this blistering 28 degrees by day and 17 degrees by night!? 83 degrees sounds perk-o-delic.

Classes did resume and I deboned a duck with nijinsky-like grace.
My first plate up to chef made a smile smear with delight.
It's one thing to serve an awe-inspiring dish to say our friends and family. Now, serve it (duck in my case) a la minute to a critic and see if you'll sweat a little. Ok, standing at the saute' station for a hour will make you sweat. I was relived to get a good critique from the Chef whose known for typical ripping you to pieces.

Happy weekend!!
