Cheers to 1 year in Philadelphia!

I have been pleasantly surprised to find such a great city. (Although, we would have loved to be in Seattle. But, have come to love Philadelphia which is a total change of heart from when we first found out we were moving here.) God put us in Philly and it has become our home. The other day we were coming home from the grocery store talking about how we definitely feel at home.

Living in the city has been different from our suburban lifestyle back in New Orleans. It has easily become one of the things I love most. It's great that gas inflation isn't affecting our budget. We tend to be outside more walking the sidewalks window shopping or just around the several parks nearby.

God has also used this past year to teach me about his faithfulness and His sovereignty. He was faithful to give me the grace I needed in the midst of the transition between relationships and a major move. He led us to a great church where we can grow and be apart of a community. My relationship has grown through the course of this past year learning to trust more. It's been an awesome time for our marriage to blossom. Thankful for how we live our lives from day to day in Philly.

Here's to 3 more years (or well 3ish) in Philadelphia!
