First *cake*

Instead of a traditional cake, I made cut a watermelon in the form of a cake. Yes, it is big. I did think about making a mini size cake but ended up making a huge one. Maybe a little intimidating to my little bean. Iced with coconut whipped cream. He didn't know what to do at first. After we showed him that he could dip his fingers into the cream, he started digging in. He didn't love being messy and kept showing me his hands to wipe clean. I reassured him 'it's okay'. That only worked a little bit. Once he found the watermelon, he was happy. He still seemed timid because he didn't like getting dirty so I grabbed a spoon and he went to town. I'd say it was a birthday cake success.
